Fall Bloomers

'Miss Lindsay' 8W-Y

    November to Mid-December

    Early to Bloom!

Very attuned to dry spells and rain. Some are variable in bloom time, others hold quite steady. Earliest flowering to date has been the second week of November. Most bloom around the third to fourth week of November - lovely guests for Thanksgiving!

Many seem to be much older / earlier hybrids - not as refined, starrier, etc. Many have very long anthers. Some have notably narrower foliage and distinctively shaped bulbs (squat with very small necks). They bloom sequentially on tall stems, not making the big truss so beloved by daffodil exhibitors for the show bench.

Many are slow to multiply, but happily a few varieties readily divide.
